Ravan's Defeat

Neel rushed to Hanuman's aid, but he too was injured by Ravan's arrows. When Hanuman regained consciousness, he saw Neel battling Ravan. Hanuman felt it inappropriate to attack Ravan while someone else was already engaging him. Neel hurled trees and boulders at Ravan, but Ravan shattered them with his arrows.

Neel then leaped onto Ravan's chariot and broke his flag. He punched Ravan in the face, causing his crown to topple. The other monkeys laughed at Ravan. Ravan then shot a fire arrow at Neel, causing him to fall unconscious.

Ravan then turned his chariot toward Lakshman, who skillfully neutralized all of Ravan's attacks with his arrows. A fierce spear from Ravan collided with Lakshman's chest, but Hanuman swiftly intervened, leaping onto Ravan and pounding his chest with powerful fists. Ravan collapsed to his knees, blood gushing from his mouth and ears, and fell unconscious to the ground.

Regaining consciousness, Ravan unleashed a torrent of arrows, decimating the monkey army. Ram, seeing the dire situation, knew he had to stop Ravan. Hanuman approached him and said, "Lord, please climb onto my shoulders and attack this demon."

Ram obliged, climbing onto Hanuman's shoulders. He unleashed a volley of arrows at Ravan, destroying the Demon King's chariot and flag. Ram then quickly shot an arrow that struck Ravan's chest, followed by another that toppled his crown. Humiliated, Ravan began to retreat to Lanka.

"Ravan!" Ram called out. "You have committed wicked deeds, causing the deaths of many great warriors. But you are tired now, so I will not attack you. Go back to Lanka and rest." Thus, Ravan, who had terrorized all three worlds, was momentarily defeated by Lord Ram. The gods in Heaven rejoiced. Feeling the need to demonstrate his strength, Ravan remembered his younger brother, Kumbhakarn, who was deep in slumber.
