The Bumblebee Who Challenged an Elephant

A bumblebee, who lived in cow dung, saw an empty wine bottle on a table. He went to the bottle and drank a few leftover drops of wine, intoxicating him. After this, he happily buzzed about and returned to the dung heap. An elephant passing by was repelled by the stench of dung and went away. The drunk bumblebee erroneously assumed the elephant was afraid of him.

"Come here, fatso!" said the bumblebee to the elephant. "Compete with me; let us see who will win." 

The elephant ignored him. The bumblebee was so intoxicated that he continually challenged the elephant. Finally, the latter lost his patience and, with his trunk, threw dung and water at the bumblebee, killing him.

A person intoxicated with wine develops delusions about oneself.
