The Sparrow's Revenge

A wild elephant broke a branch of a tree, causing a sparrow's nest to fall, and the eggs inside it broke. The sparrow started crying, and a woodpecker inquired what the matter was. The sparrow told the woodpecker everything. 

"Come, let us take the fly’s advice," said the woodpecker.

They approached the fly and told him the sparrow's painful story. He advised them to take the frog’s help. So the sparrow, the woodpecker, and the fly went to the frog and told it everything. 

"If we are all united, what will the elephant be able to do to us?" asked the frog. "Do as I say: fly, you go to the elephant in the afternoon and sing a sweet tune in its ears; when it closes its eyes engrossed in the melody, the woodpecker must rupture its eyes. The elephant will become blind, and when it feels thirsty, it will search for water. Then, I will go near the marsh and start croaking. The elephant will think there is water there and come, only to get trapped in the bog.”

The four played their roles perfectly per the frog's plan, and the elephant died in the marsh.
