The Dog Who Went Abroad

In a city, there once lived a clever dog called Chitrangan. Famine struck the city one year, and Chitrangan set out for a distant town. In the town, there was no shortage of food at all. Chitrangan lived in the backyard of a house and ate whatever he wished to eat.

One day, some local dogs saw Chitrangan and realized he was an outsider. They started barking loudly and viciously attacked him.

Ultimately, Chitrangan escaped from the local dogs but was severely injured. 

"I should leave this place," he thought. "There may well be a famine in my city, but at least the dogs there are my friends."
