The Lion and the Mouse

It was a hot day, and a lion was taking a nap in its den. Suddenly a mouse jumped over him and woke him up. The lion caught the mouse in its claws and was about to kill him when the mouse began pleading for his life. The lion felt sorry for the mouse and let it go.

Some days later, the lion was wandering the jungle. Suddenly it got trapped in a hunter's net and couldn't move. He started screaming; the mouse heard his screams and rushed to his aid. The little mouse nibbled at the net with its pointed teeth and managed to free the lion.

Sometimes small and inconsequential-seeming people can be beneficial.
