The Dolphins and the Little Fish

A war had broken out between the dolphins and the whales. When the conflict intensified, a little fish tried to get both sides to compromise. Nevertheless, the dolphins refused to take any help from the little fish. The fish was astonished and wished to know the reason behind this. 

"Stay away!" yelled one dolphin. "We would rather die than take help from a little fish like you. What is your capacity compared to ours?" 

The little fish felt bad and went away. The dolphins kept fighting, and many of them were severely injured. One by one, they started dying, but their faces still sparkled with arrogance.

Arrogant people may bear any harm but will never accept help from people beneath their level.
