The Talking Cave

A lion was looking for a place to rest when he saw a massive cave. No one was in it, and the lion liked it so much that he decided to stay there. 

The cave belonged to a jackal, who saw the footprints of a lion outside the den when he returned. He devised a trick to determine whether the lion was still in the den. 

"Oh, cave!" shouted the jackal. "I will leave if you don't speak to me like you do daily."

The lion heard this and thought the talking cave was silent because it feared him. So he decided to answer instead to lure the jackal in. 

Hearing the lion’s roar, the clever jackal understood and ran for his life.
